Many people are convinced that the internet is making us more stupid. I would agree that spending hours and hours scrolling through social media every day probably isn't as good for you as reading a book or picking up an actual hobby outside of media consumption. My biggest fear is that kids as young as three years old are able to use iPads with nearly perfect proficiency before they're able to read full sentences. But then again, I'm not a childhood development specialist. Maybe the iPad kids are what is going to save us all!

I think that it's good for young people to have some concept of what's going on online. I had unbridled internet access from the time I was 12, and it taught me so much about pop culture, humor, and the world at large. If you want to stimulate your mind with some internet culture, these funny memes might do the trick.
